My name is Darin Singh and in April 2023, I was diagnosed with a life-changing autoimmune disease, IgG4, which has viciously attacked my organs, primarily my kidneys. I now have end-stage kidney disease and my kidneys are beyond repair. I am sharing my story in the hopes that I will be able to find a live kidney donor to kindly help me.

My doctors advise that my kidneys will continue to deteriorate and that I am in urgent need of dialysis and a kidney transplant. I still have dreams for my future and so much I want to accomplish in this world. Receiving a kidney would mean the chance at a normal life and accomplishing all the hopes and dreams that I have.

Receiving a kidney would mean being able to start a family with my beautiful wife and have more time to spend with my extended family.

Receiving a kidney would mean the freedom to eat foods that I love without worrying about whether my sodium and potassium levels from the foods I eat will make me sicker.

I am 30 years old and have always been incredibly healthy. Before my diagnosis, I was an athlete, participating in marathons, triathlons, and even international Ironman competitions. I recently married my beautiful wife Samantha, and have enjoyed hiking in various parts of Ontario, cooking together and exploring new cuisines. I am a dedicated husband, son, brother, and uncle. More than anything, I love being around family and friends, and never miss an opportunity to spend time with them.

There is so much in life that I look forward to. I look at my nieces and think about how I want to be a father, teaching my own children to ride a bike and play sports like I taught my niece. I think about how I want to experience the world. I think about all I want to achieve.

I humbly ask that you please share this with your networks so that I and others in my position may find the help we need. If I have inspired you to be a potential donor, please contact me at kidneyfordarin@gmail.com.
